Northwest Jewish Collective
Rooted in Tradition. Building Together.
The Northwest Jewish Collective (NWJC) is a grassroots, non-profit Jewish community ecosystem rooted in Northwest Philadelphia with spiritual and operational leadership from Rabbi Megan GoldMarche.
As Jewish life evolves, NWJC serves as a home for connection, specifically designed to engage underserved and unaffiliated Jews and those who love them.
Our Mission and Vision
Our Vision
A thriving community in Northwest Philadelphia where every individual feels radically welcomed and deeply connected through a vibrant, celebratory Jewish life.
Our Mission
We cultivate multigenerational belonging and care through Jewish ritual, lifelong learning, and deep roots in civic action within Northwest Philly.
Join us: Become a Builder
We need your voice, your hands, and your unique perspective. Join us as a founding Builder. Let’s weave the network together.
In many traditional spaces, community members are treated as passive consumers of programs, tickets, and services. The Northwest Jewish Collective (NWJC) operates on an entirely different premise. We believe that a resilient, meaningful community cannot be bought; it must be built.
We do not have passive members. Instead, we have Builders.
A Builder is someone who invests their imagination, energy, and care into shaping a grassroots Jewish ecosystem in Northwest Philadelphia. Whether you are Jewish, adjacent to Jewish life, or loving someone who is, you are invited to step into your own power. By becoming a Builder, you help ensure the connectedness and vibrancy of OUR Jewish community in Northwest Philadelphia.
The Northwest Jewish Collective belongs to those who build it. We are not waiting for a far-off institution to build the future of Jewish life in Northwest Philadelphia—we are doing it ourselves, right here, in our own living rooms, parks, and neighborhoods.
Meet our Rabbi
Our founder and spiritual leader, Rabbi Megan GoldMarche, offers a rabbinate modeled on co-creation, deep listening, and shared holy space, moving Jewish leadership out of the institution and directly into the neighborhood.
Rabbi Megan practices radical hospitality and teaches accessible, living Torah. She enthusiastically embraces the full spectrum of modern families, including interfaith couples, those adjacent to Jewish life, and seekers, ensuring everyone feels equally valued and spiritually met.
Rabbi Megan has been building Jewish communities since her religious school days. She was formally ordained by the Jewish Theological Seminary in 2014. Her rabbinate has included Hillel, Base and, most recently, Tribe 12 leadership.
